Install the bulb holder cover, and then connect the headlight coupler. Close the shroud. 3. 4. To lower the headlight beam, turn the Phillips screwdriver in direction (a). To raise the headlight beam, turn the Phillips screwdriver in direction (b). Close the shroud. ESU12290 ESU12262 Fittings and fasteners Check the tightness of the fittings and fasteners. Tighten in proper sequence and torque if necessary. ESU12303 Adjusting the headlight beam 1. 2. Open the shroud. Insert a Phillips screwdriver into the hole under the shroud to turn the headlight beam adjusting screw. Battery This model is equipped with a VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery. There is no need to check the electrolyte or to add distilled water. However, the battery lead connections need to be checked and, if necessary, tightened. EWS00540 WARNING 1. Headlight beam adjusting screw Battery electrolyte is poisonous and dangerous. It contains sulfuric acid and can cause severe burns. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. ANTIDOTE: G EXTERNAL: Flush with water. G INTERNAL: Drink large quantities of water or milk. Follow with milk of magnesia, beaten egg, or vegetable oil. Call physician immediately. 62
