To check the V-belt 1. Open the shroud and remove the drive guard. 2. Check the V-belt for wear and damage. Replace if necessary. When installing a new V-belt, make sure that it is positioned properly. Otherwise, the V-belt clutch engagement speed will be changed and the snowmobile may move unexpectedly when the engine is started, which could cause an accident. 49

To check the V-belt
1.
Open the shroud and remove the drive
guard.
2.
Check the V-belt for wear and damage.
Replace if necessary.
3.
Install the drive guard and close the
shroud.
To replace and adjust the V-belt
