PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR EAU38231 Replacing a headlight bulb This model is equipped with quartz bulb headlights. If a headlight bulb burns out, replace it as follows. 1. Remove cowling C. (See page 6-8.) 2. Remove the headlight bulb cover by turning it counterclockwise. 1 1 2 3 1. Headlight coupler (low beam) 1. Headlight bulb holder 4 1 5 1 1. Headlight bulb cover 1 6 7 8 EWA10790 3. Disconnect the headlight coupler. NOTE: G There is one coupler for the low beam headlight. G There are two couplers for the high beam headlight. 1. Headlight coupler (high beam) 1. Headlight bulb holder 4. Unhook the headlight bulb holder, and then remove the defective bulb. WARNING Headlight bulbs get very hot. Therefore, keep flammable products away from a lit headlight bulb, and do not touch the bulb until it has cooled 9 6-37
