MAINTENANCE Lubrication Recommendations Check and lubricate all components at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 67, or more often under severe use, such as wet or dusty conditions. Items not listed in the chart should be lubricated at the general lubrication interval. See page 71. Maintain level between fill lines. See page 84. See page 73. See pages 73-74. Locate fittings and grease (3 pumps maximum). Grease 3 fittings on each side of the vehicle. Grease 4 fittings on each side of the vehicle. Grease one fitting on each side of the vehicle. All Season Grease or grease conforming to NLGI No. 2 Engine Oil Always check and change the engine oil at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 67. Always change the oil filter whenever changing oil. WARNING! Vehicle operation with insufficient, deteriorated, or contaminated engine oil will cause accelerated wear and may result in engine seizure, accident, and injury. Always perform the maintenance procedures as outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart. Oil Recommendations POLARIS recommends the use of POLARIS PS-4 5W-50 4-Cycle Oil or a similar oil. Refer to the specifications section beginning on page 98 for capacities. See page 102 for the part numbers of POLARIS products. NOTICE: Mixing brands or using a non-recommended oil may cause serious engine damage. Always use the recommended oil. Never substitute or mix oil brands.
