Tie an elastic string around the stands, making sure the string just touches the side surface of the rear tires on each side of the vehicle and goes around the stands in front of the vehicle (2). 4. Measure the distance from the string to the rim at the front and rear of the front rim (3). Rear measurement should be 1/16″ - 1/8″ (.2 to .3 cm) more than the front measurement.
