MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 75 Rebound Damping Adjuster Settings NOTICE Do not force the rebound and compression damping force adjusters beyond the fully seated position, or the adjusting mechanism may be damaged. j To adjust the rear shock absorber compression damping, turn the compression damping adjuster on the gas reservoir with a standard tip screwdriver. Compression Damping Adjustment (KLX140B ONLY) A. Seated Position (Adjuster Turned Fully Clockwise) B. Softer (Counterclockwise) C. Harder (Clockwise) D. Standard Setting * Number of turns counterclockwise usable range-22 clicks or more Standard Rebound Damping Adjuster Setting 10 th clicks* * Counterclockwise from the fully seated position A. Compression Damping Adjuster If the damping feels too soft or too stiff, adjust it in accordance with the following.
