Install the rubber boot.
If the free play cannot be set by adjusting the upper
cable adjuster, use the adjuster on the lower end
of the cable.
Remove the side cover and the seat. (see Battery
Removal)
Remove the bolts and screw, and pull the right side
of the fuel tank cover up temporarily.

Pull the rubber boot off the top of the carburetor
and make the necessary free play adjustment with
the adjuster on the lower end of the cable. Then,
tighten the locknut and reinstall the rubber boot.
