52 HOW TO RIDE Stopping the Engine the throttle completely. • Close Put the transmission into the "N" (Neutral) position. • Apply the parking brake to help prevent the vehicle • from rolling. • Turn the ignition key to "OFF". HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD Do not idle or park your vehicle in an area where tall or dry vegetation, or other flammable materials could come into contact with the muffler or exhaust pipe. j NOTE żThis ATV is equipped with a vehicle-down sensor, which causes the engine to stop automatically when the ATV is tilted excessively or tipped over. If this sensor is activated, first recover the ATV and turn the ignition key to "OFF" and then back to "ON" before starting the engine. WARNING HAZARD Touching the engine or exhaust. WHAT CAN HAPPEN You can suffer severe burns. HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD Do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe, or muffler during operation or after stopping the engine. Stopping the Engine
•
Close the throttle completely.
•
Put the transmission into the “N” (Neutral) position.
•
Apply the parking brake to help prevent the vehicle
from rolling.
•
Turn the ignition key to “OFF”.
NOTE
°
This ATV is equipped with a vehicle-down sen-
sor, which causes the engine to stop automatically
when the ATV is tilted excessively or tipped over.
If this sensor is activated, first recover the ATV
and turn the ignition key to “OFF” and then back
to “ON” before starting the engine.
