Element Cleaning
Remove the seat.
A. Mud Guard Plate
B. Air Cleaner Cover
C. Snaps
Remove the mud guard plate.
NOTE
°
This mud guard plate prevents splashed mud from
entering into the air cleaner. Be sure to install it
after the air cleaner maintenance.
Pull up the snaps and remove the air cleaner
cover.
Pull the air cleaner element up and take it out of
the air cleaner housing.

Check inside the intake tract for dirt.
If dirt is
present, clean the intake tract thoroughly. You may
also need to replace the air filter element.
Wrap a clean, lint-free towel over the intake tract
to keep dirt or other foreign material from entering.
Wipe out the inside of the air cleaner housing with
a clean damp towel.
