MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 61 Sprocket Wear Inspection • Chain Lubrication Lubrication of the drive chain is necessary after riding in the rain or mud, or any time the chain appears dry. A heavy oil such as SAE90 is preferred to a lighter oil because it will stay on the chain longer and provide better lubrication. Apply oil to the side of the rollers so that it will penetrate to the rollers and bushings. Wipe off any excess oil. Sprocket Wear Inspection

sprocket if its teeth are worn or damaged.
