Brake Light Switch
When the brake pedal is depressed, the brake light
goes on. The brake light switch should be inspected
in accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart.
Inspection
Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position.
Depress the brake pedal. The brake light should
go on after about 10 mm (0.4 in.) of pedal travel.

If it does not, check the bulb and, if necessary,
adjust the brake light switch.
Adjustment
Adjustment is best performed by an authorized
Kawasaki dealer since the brake light switch is

CAUTION
