MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 99 Idle Adjustment Idle adjustment is controlled by the ECU and cannot be adjusted. If the idle speed is unstable, have your dealer inspect the throttle body. Specified Idle Speed: 950 ±50 rpm Fuel Tank Vent The fuel tank vent hoses must be routed as specified. The engine may stall or lose power if the fuel tank vent is plugged or if the vent hoses are pinched. Inspect the vent hoses before riding and whenever the engine seems to lose power. If the fuel tank is full but the engine feels as if it is running out of fuel, check the vent and vent hoses. High Altitude Use High altitude adjustment is not required as the ECU (electronic control unit) controls the air/fuel mixture automatically. j A. Fuel Tank Vent Hoses B. Check Valve C. Fuel Tank
