I Guida a pieno carico Questo motociclo è stato progettato per percorrere lunghi tratti a pieno carico in assoluta sicurezza. I Viene inoltre utilizzata come riferimento visivo durante la procedura di sblocco immobilizer tramite manopola acceleratore. 11) Indicatore manutenzione preventiva. L'accensione della spia segnala il raggiungimento della percorrenza stabilita per la manutenzione preventiva. La spia risulterà lampeggiante per i 50 km successivi all'accensione. In seguito la spia risulterà fissa. I LCD - Impostazione/visualizzazione parametri All'accensione (chiave da OFF a ON) il cruscotto esegue un Check di tutta la strumentazione (lancette, display, spie) vedi (fig. 7) Visualizzazione funzioni del display sinistro (A). Funzione regolazione orologio Premere il pulsante (1) per almeno 2 secondi. Selezionare AM/PM premendo il pulsante (2). Premere il pulsante (1) per confermare la selezione e passare così alla regolazione dell'ora. Utilizzare il pulsante (2) per modificare l'indicazione dell'ora. Al termine dei rilevamenti cronometrici dei tempi sui giri è possibile visualizzare 19 misurazioni memorizzate nell'LCD. I Il sistema immobilizer Per aumentare la protezione contro il furto, il motociclo è dotato di un sistema elettronico di blocco del motore (IMMOBILIZER) che si attiva automaticamente ogni volta che si spegne il quadro. Code card Insieme alle chiavi viene consegnata una CODE CARD (fig. 15) sulla quale è riportato: A) (fig. 16) il codice elettronico, da utilizzare in caso di blocco motore e quindi mancata accensione dopo il keyon. I Procedura di sblocco immobilizer tramite manopola acceleratore 1) Portare la chiave su ON e ruotare completamente la manopola acceleratore mantenendola ruotata. Funzionamento Ogni volta che si ruota la chiave del commutatore da ON a OFF, il sistema di protezione attiva il blocco motore. I Leva comando frizione La leva (1) che aziona il disinnesto della frizione è dotata di pomello (2) per la regolazione della distanza tra la leva stessa e la manopola sul semimanubrio. Leva comando starter (fig. 20) Il comando starter (1) serve per agevolare la partenza a freddo del motore e innalzare il regime di rotazione minimo, dopo l'avviamento. Leva comando freno anteriore (fig. 22) Tirando la leva (1) verso la manopola girevole si aziona il freno anteriore. È sufficiente un minimo sforzo della mano per azionare questo dispositivo in quanto il funzionamento è idraulico. I Pedale comando freno posteriore (fig. 23) Per azionare il freno posteriore, premere il pedale (1) verso il basso con il piede. Tappo serbatoio carburante (fig. 29) Apertura Sollevare il coperchietto (1) di protezione ed inserire la chiave nella serratura. Ruotare di 1/4 di giro la chiave in senso orario per sbloccare la serratura. Sollevare il tappo. Cavalletto laterale (fig. 32) Importante Prima d'azionare il cavalletto laterale, accertarsi dell'adeguata consistenza e planarità della superficie d'appoggio. I Ammortizzatore di sterzo (fig. 33) È posizionato davanti al serbatoio ed è fissato al telaio e alla testa di sterzo. La sua azione contribuisce a rendere lo sterzo più preciso e più stabile, migliorando la guidabilità del motociclo in ogni condizione. Registri di regolazione forcella anteriore La forcella del motociclo è regolabile sia nella fase di estensione (ritorno) sia nella compressione degli steli. Controlli prima dell'avviamento Attenzione La mancata esecuzione delle ispezioni prima della partenza può causare danni al veicolo e procurare lesioni gravi al conducente. Avviamento motore I ON O PUS H Note Per avviare il motore già caldo seguite la procedura descritta per "Temperatura ambiente alta". 2) Spostare la leva comando starter (1) in posizione (B) (fig. 41). 3) Accertarsi che l'interruttore d'arresto (2, fig. 42) sia nella posizione (RUN), premere quindi il pulsante avviamento (3). Frenata Rallentare per tempo, scalare per utilizzare il freno motore e poi frenare agendo su entrambi i freni. Prima che il motociclo si arresti, disinserire la frizione per evitare che il motore si spenga improvvisamente. I Parcheggio Parcheggiare il motociclo fermo sul cavalletto laterale (vedi pag. 38). Sterzare completamente a sinistra e portare la chiave nella posizione LOCK per prevenire i furti. Rifornimento carburante (fig. 43) Durante il rifornimento non riempire eccessivamente il serbatoio. Il livello del carburante deve rimanere al di sotto del foro d'immissione nel pozzetto del tappo. OPERAZIONI D'USO E MANUTENZIONE PRINCIPALI Rimozione della vestizione Per poter effettuare alcuni interventi di manutenzione o riparazione è necessario rimuovere alcune parti della vestizione del motociclo. Cupolino Note Per rimuovere il cupolino dal veicolo è necessario rimuovere prima gli specchi retrovisori e le carene laterali come precedentemente illustrato. Smontare il cruscotto (1) estraendolo dai gommini di ritegno (2). Scollegare le connessioni della lampadina della luce di posizione. Svitare - 2003 Ducati Superbike 999R | Owners Manual - Page 56
I Controllo ed eventuale rabbocco livello liquido di raffreddamento (fig. 51) Controllare il livello del liquido di raffreddamento contenuto nel serbatoio d'espansione, sul lato destro del motociclo; deve risultare compreso tra le due tacche (1) e (2): la tacca più lunga (2) equivale al livello MAX - 2003 Ducati Superbike 999R | Owners Manual - Page 57
Rimuovere la carena destra (pag. 53). Svitare il tappo di carico (3, fig. 52) e aggiungere una miscela d'acqua e antigelo SHELL Advance Coolant o Glycoshell (35÷40% del volume) fino a raggiungere il livello MAX. I Controllo livello fluido frizione e freni Il livello non deve scendere al di sotto della tacca di MIN evidenziata sui rispettivi serbatoi (fig. 53) (in figura sono rappresentati i serbatoi liquido freno anteriore e posteriore). Verifica usura pastiglie freno (fig. 54 e 55) Per facilitare il controllo delle pastiglie dei freni, senza doverle rimuovere dalla pinza, ogni pastiglia riporta un indicatore di consumo. I Lubrificazione delle articolazioni Periodicamente è necessario controllare le condizioni della guaina esterna dei cavi di comando acceleratore e starter. ➤ ➤ Regolazione tensione del cavo comando acceleratore La manopola di comando acceleratore in tutte le posizioni di sterzata deve avere una corsa a vuoto, misurata sulla periferia del bordino della manopola, di 1,5÷2,0 mm. I Carica della batteria (fig. 59) Per ricaricare la batteria è consigliabile rimuoverla dal motociclo. Rimuovere la carena sinistra (pag. 53), svitare la vite (1) e rimuovere la staffa di fissaggio superiore. Modifica dell'inclinazione del cannotto di sterzo Prima di modificare l'angolo di sterzo è necessario rimuovere l'ammortizzatore di sterzo, svitando le viti di fissaggio (1 e 2). Note Per sostituire le lampade del proiettore non è necessario scollegare dal corpo proiettore il cavo del cablaggio elettrico principale.
