English 1 Checking Chain Lubrication Adjusting the Telescoping Shaft WARNING Always shut off the engine and fit the chain guard 002BA584 KN 246BA027 KN Left: Right: Bottom of cap is twisted - inner mark (1) in line with outer mark. Bottom of cap in correct position - inner mark is under the grip. It is not in line with the outer mark. 0000-GXX-0136-A0 N Place the cap on the opening and rotate it counterclockwise until it engages the filler neck. N Continue rotating the cap counterclockwise (about a quarter turn) - this causes the bottom of the cap to be turned to the correct position. N Turn the cap clockwise and lock it in position - see section on "Closing". The saw chain must always throw off a small amount of oil. NOTICE Never operate your machine without chain lubrication. If the chain runs dry, the whole cutting attachment will be irretrievably damaged within a very short time. Always check chain lubrication and the oil level in the tank before starting work. Every new chain has to be broken in for about 2 to 3 minutes. After breaking in the chain, check chain tension and adjust if necessary - see "Checking Chain Tension".
