Chapter 2 Initial Settings 1 Press the keys shown at right. OPTION SETTING will appear in the FUNCTION 4 display. 2 Press the keys shown at right. DISTINCTIVE RING will appear in the display. 3 Select a ring pattern by entering the ap- propriate number ("1" to "5" as shown in the list on the previous page). 4 Press the STOP key. 1 (Example) STOP Note: If you are using an answering machine with your distinctive ring service, the answering machine must be connected to a separate wall jack.
