Recording Correcting jitter Recording mode: Automatically detects and prevents jitter. For motion picture recording, the 5-Axis Hybrid Image Stabilizer function is available. It uses both the optical stabilizer of the lens and the electronic stabilizer of the camera's sensor. [Operation Mode] [E-Stabilization (Video)] (Normal) Corrects vertical and horizontal jitter. (Panning) Corrects vertical jitter. This setting is ideal for panning (technique of recording a subject by matching the camera movement with the movement of a subject going in a specific direction). We recommend using the Viewfinder. [OFF] [Stabilizer] does not work. Corrects jitters that occur in 5 directions during motion picture recording, namely the vertical direction, horizontal direction, rotation axis, vertical rotation, and horizontal rotation (5-axis Hybrid Image Stabilizer function). [ON] / [OFF] • If you set this item to [ON], [ ] is displayed on the screen while recording motion pictures. However, in the Creative Video Mode, [ ] is displayed on the screen at all times. • The angle of view may become narrower as compared to that during recording. Zoom types and use Optical Zoom1 You can zoom in without degrading the picture quality. Maximum magnification: 24x Extended optical zoom1 [i.Zoom]1 [Digital Zoom]1, 2 This function works when picture sizes with [ ] have been selected in [Picture Size] (→30). Extended optical zoom allows you to zoom in using a higher zoom ratio than Optical Zoom, without degrading the picture quality. Maximum magnification: 46.9x (Including the optical zoom ratio. This maximum zoom ratio varies depending on the picture size.) You can use the camera's Intelligent Resolution technology to increase the zoom ratio up to 2x higher than the original zoom ratio with limited deterioration of picture quality. Zoom 4x further than Optical/Extended optical zoom. Correcting jitter
Recording mode:
Automatically detects and prevents jitter. For motion picture recording, the 5-Axis Hybrid
Image Stabilizer function is available. It uses both the optical stabilizer of the lens and the
