SECTION 9-BACK Installing 1. Install the new back upholstery over mounted back cane. 2. Slide the loose back cane through the new back upholstery. 3. Using the mounted back cane as a guide, reinstall the loose back cane to the wheelchair frame with the existing back height adjustment screw and locknut. NOTE: For proper installation of the back upholstery, the back canes MUST be mounted in the same height adjustment hole. 4. Secure the new back upholstery to the back canes with the two mounting screws and washers. Torque to 20‐25 in‐lbs. 5. Secure the bottom of the new back upholstery to the wheelchair frame with tie‐wraps. In a typical scenario, the bottom two straps can be adjusted tightly to support and/or assist the extensor muscles. Back Upholstery Cover The back upholstery cover is designed for three reasons: 1. The first is as a modesty cover. 2. The second is to keeps the cushion from sliding out of the back of the wheelchair. 3. Installing
1.
Install the new back upholstery over mounted back cane.
2.
Slide the loose back cane through the new back upholstery.
3.
Using the mounted back cane as a guide, reinstall the loose back cane to the
wheelchair frame with the existing back height adjustment screw and locknut.
NOTE: For proper installation of the back upholstery, the back canes MUST be mounted in the

4.
Secure the new back upholstery to the back canes with the two mounting screws and
washers. Torque to 20
