Administrator's Guide Introduction (B): DMZ (demilitarized zone) This zone is placed between the internal network (intranet) and the external network (internet), and both networks are segments isolated by the firewall. It is common to put the server that is opened for the external network. It is able to protect diffusion of an external threat to the internal network.
