INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS Water and harsh sunlight can damage leather. Use the protective seat covers provided when parking in the rain or where dew is expected, when washing the vehicle, and when parking for extended periods in strong sunlight. To install the protective covers: 1. Remove the rider seat. 2. Put the cover over the passenger seat with the cord lock to the front. Pull the drawstrings to tighten the cover on the seat and secure with the cord lock. Tuck the cord lock up inside the cover to keep it out of the way. 3. Put the cover on the rider seat with the cord lock to the left side. Pull the drawstrings to tighten the cover on the seat and secure with the cord lock. Tuck the cord lock up inside the cover to keep it out of the way. 4. Reinstall the rider seat. Push the front of the seat down to lock it in place (this may require more effort than without the seat cover). Remove the key. 5. Remove the protective covers before riding. Press down firmly on the seat when turning the key. EAU44441 Helmet holder 4 1. Helmet holding cable 2. Helmet holder The helmet holder is located under the rider seat. A helmet holding cable is provided under the rider seat to secure a helmet to the helmet holder. To secure a helmet to the helmet holder 1. Remove the rider seat. (See page 4-12.) 2. Pass the helmet holding cable through the buckle on the helmet strap as shown, and then hook the cable loop over the helmet holder. 4-13

the vehicle, and when parking for ex-
tended periods in strong sunlight. To in-
stall the protective covers:
1.
Remove the rider seat.
2.
Put the cover over the passenger
seat with the cord lock to the front.
Pull the drawstrings to tighten the
cover on the seat and secure with
the cord lock. Tuck the cord lock
up inside the cover to keep it out of
the way.
3.
Put the cover on the rider seat with
the cord lock to the left side. Pull
the drawstrings to tighten the cov-
er on the seat and secure with the
cord lock. Tuck the cord lock up in-
side the cover to keep it out of the
way.
4. Reinstall the rider seat. Push the
front of the seat down to lock it in
place (this may require more effort
than without the seat cover). Re-
move the key.
5.
Remove the protective covers be-
fore riding. Press down firmly on
the seat when turning the key.

Helmet holder
The helmet holder is located under the
rider seat. A helmet holding cable is
provided under the rider seat to secure
a helmet to the helmet holder.
To secure a helmet to the helmet
holder
1.
Remove the rider seat. (See page
4-12.)
2. Pass the helmet holding cable
through the buckle on the helmet
strap as shown, and then hook the
cable loop over the helmet holder.
