INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS EAU13445 ECA10701 EAU13550 Catalytic converters This vehicle is equipped with catalytic converters in the exhaust system. EWA10862 NOTICE Use only unleaded gasoline. The use of leaded gasoline will cause unrepairable damage to the catalytic converter. Fuel cock The fuel cock supplies fuel from the tank to the carburetors while also filtering it. The fuel cock lever positions are explained as follows and shown in the illustrations. OFF 4 WARNING The exhaust system is hot after operation. To prevent a fire hazard or burns: G Do not park the vehicle near possible fire hazards such as grass or other materials that easily burn. G Park the vehicle in a place where pedestrians or children are not likely to touch the hot exhaust system. G Make sure that the exhaust system has cooled down before doing any maintenance work. G Do not allow the engine to idle more than a few minutes. Long idling can cause a build-up of heat. 1. Arrow mark positioned over "OFF" With the fuel cock lever in this position, fuel will not flow. Always turn the fuel cock lever to this position when the engine is not running. 4-8

Catalytic converters
This vehicle is equipped with catalytic
converters in the exhaust system.
WARNING
EWA10862
The exhaust system is hot after op-
eration. To prevent a fire hazard or
burns:
Do not park the vehicle near
possible fire hazards such as

With the fuel cock lever in this position,

cock lever to this position when the en-
gine is not running.
