Uneven settings can cause poor handling and loss of stability. This snowmobile is equipped with FOX shock absorbers as standard equipment. The air pressure of the shock absorbers can be adjusted using the shock absorber pump included with your snowmobile. 1. Locknut 2. Distance A 3. Spring preload adjusting nut TIP The spring preload setting is determined by measuring distance A, shown in the illustration. The longer distance A is, the higher the spring preload; the shorter distance A is, the lower the spring preload. Spring preload setting*: Minimum (soft): 141.6 mm (5.57 in) Standard: 141.6 mm (5.57 in) Maximum (hard): 151.6 mm (5.97 in) * Distance A changes 1.5 mm (0.06 in) with each full turn of the adjusting nut. 3. Tighten the locknut to the specified torque. NOTICE: Always tighten the locknut against the adjusting nut, and then tighten the locknut to the specified torque. ECS00710 NOTICE Make sure that there is no load on the shock absorbers and that they are fully extended before making any air pressure adjustments. 1.
