Noise Emission Control System EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEMS Do not modify the engine, intake or exhaust components, as doing so may affect compliance with state and local noise level requirements. Crankcase Emission Control System This engine is equipped with a closed crankcase system. Blow-by gases are forced back to the combustion chamber by the intake system. The system does not allow the blow-by gases to enter the atmosphere. Exhaust Emission Control System The emissions from the exhaust of this vehicle are controlled by engine design, including factory-set fuel delivery and ignition. The engine and related components must be maintained at Polaris specifications to achieve optimal performance. Adjustment to engine idle is the 1 only adjustment Polaris recommends that the operator perform. Any other adjustments should be performed by an authorized Polaris dealer. The emissions label (1) is located on the recoil cover. WARNING The installation of devices that effectively increase exhaust emissions beyond their legal limits will void all manufacturer warranties and may violate laws governing the registration and operation of this vehicle. Spark Arrestor Your Polaris vehicle has a spark arrestor that was tested and approved in accordance with the USDA Forest Service Standard 5100-1C. Federal law requires that this spark arrestor be installed and functional when the vehicle is operated on public lands. Electromagnetic Interference This spark ignition system complies with Canadian ICES-002. 67
