MAINTENANCE Coolant Level General Maintenance The coolant level in the coolant bottle must be maintained at the FULL COLD mark (A) to prevent overheating and serious engine damage. A CAUTION Operating the snowmobile with insufficient coolant will result in overheating and serious engine damage. Always maintain the coolant level as recommended. The engine coolant level is controlled by the recovery system. The recovery system components are: S Coolant bottle S Engine filler neck S Pressure cap S Connecting hoses Flushing the Cooling System To ensure that the coolant maintains its ability to protect the engine, the system should be completely drained every two years and a fresh 50/50 or 60/40 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water should be added. This service must be done when the engine is cold. Ask your Polaris dealer to check the coolant when he performs the fall tune-up on your snowmobile. 80
