MAINTENANCE Spark Plugs General Maintenance CAUTION Using non-recommended spark plugs can result in serious engine damage. Always use Polaris-recommended spark plugs. Use Champion RC7YC spark plugs. Proper electrode gap is .035" (.9 mm) Spark plug torque is 18-22 ft. lbs. (24-30 Nm). Change spark plugs annually and whenever inspection reveals fouled or damaged plugs. Always use the recommended spark plugs for your machine. A spark plug with a heat range too high will cause engine damage. A spark plug with a heat range too low will cause excessive fouling and engine malfunctioning. S S S NOTE: Always carry spare spark plugs in case of an emergency. 74
