2) Make sure that the stop switch (1, fig. 29) is in the RUN position, then press the starter button (2, fig. 29). This model has servo-assisted starting. To use the servo-assisted starting feature, press the start button (2) and release it immediately. When you press the button (2) the starter motor operates automatically for a maximum time determined by the engine temperature. The system disengages the starter motor as soon as the engine starts. If the engine fails to start, wait at least 2 seconds before pressing the start button (2) again. Allow the engine to start on its own, without turning the throttle. 1 E Important Do not rev the engine when cold.
