• BPDU Protection - Disables a port in case a new switch tries to enter the already existing topology of STP. This keeps switches not originally part of an STP from influencing the STP topology. If set to Enable, when a BPDU is received on an edge port, that port is disabled. Once the port has been disabled it requires manual-intervention to be re-enabled. Bridge Settings • Priority - Specifies the bridge priority value. When switches or bridges are running STP, each are assigned a priority. After exchanging BPDUs, the switch with the lowest priority value becomes the root bridge. Valid values are from 0-61440. The default value is 32768. • Max Age - Specifies the switch maximum age time, which indicates the amount of time in seconds a bridge waits before implementing a topological change. Valid values are from 6 to 40 seconds. The default value is 20 seconds. • Forward Delay - Specifies the switch forward delay time, which indicates the amount of time in seconds a bridge remains in a listening and learning state before forwarding packets. Valid values are from 4 to 30 seconds. The default value is 15 seconds. • Maximum Hops - Configure the maximum number of hops for the spanning tree. Valid values are from 6 to 40. The default value is 20. • Spanning Tree Tx Hold Count - Configure the Bridge Tx Hold Count parameter for the spanning tree. Valid values are from 1 to 10 seconds. The default value is 6 seconds. Designated Root Status • Bridge ID - Displays the bridge ID. • Root Bridge ID - Specifies the root bridge ID. • Root Port - Displays port number that offers the lowest-cost path from this bridge to the root bridge. It is significant when the bridge is not the root. The default is zero. • Root Path Cost - Displays the cost of the path from this bridge to the root. • Topology Changes Counts - Displays the total amount of STP state changes that have occurred. • Last Topology Change - Displays the total amount of time since the last topographic change. The time is displayed in day/hour/minute/second format, for example, 5 hours 10 minutes and 4 seconds.
