Transmitter: Hand-held, remote control which operates the various functions of your system. Trigger or Triggered Sequence: This is what happens when the alarm "goes off" or "trips". The triggered response of your system consists of the siren sounding and parking light flashing for the programmed duration. Valet Switch: A small push-button switch mounted somewhere inside the vehicle. It is used to override the alarm when a transmitter is lost or damaged, or to enter or exit Valet mode. Warn-Away Response: Lighter impacts to the vehicle will generate the Warning Zone response. It consists of several seconds of siren chirps and parking light flashes. Zone: A zone is a separate input that the alarm can recognize as unique. Each input to the system is connected to a particular zone. Two or more inputs often share the same zone. © 2005 directed electronics, inc. all rights reserved 31
