Regarding the Lamp Removing and Installing the Lamp Unit Caution • Be sure to remove the lamp unit by the handle. Do not touch the glass surface of the lamp unit or the inside of the projector. • To avoid injury to yourself and damage to the lamp, carefully follow the steps below. • Replace the lamp after turning off the power and unplugging the power cord. 1 Put the projector into the standby mode. • Press . • Wait until the cooling fan stops. 2 Unplug the power cord. • Unplug the power cord from the AC socket. • Leave the lamp until it has fully cooled down (about 1 hour). 3 Remove the Swivel Stand. (See page 24.) 4 Remove the lamp unit cover. • Loosen the user service screw that secures the lamp unit cover. • Slide the lamp unit cover in the direction of the arrow. Removing and Install-
ing the Lamp Unit

cures the lamp unit cover.

tion of the arrow.

lamp unit. Hold the lamp unit by the
handle and pull it in the direction of
the arrow.
