Recording CD to MD (Synchro recording) After you select songs, this function enables you to edit and record the songs. 1 5 1 Insert a CD and an MD. See Step 1 of "Playing a CD" on page 20. See Step 1 of "Playing an MD" on page 22. Use a recordable MD. 2 Check the necessary recording time. Refer to Step 2 on page 27. 3 Press CD/MD repeatedly to display "CD." 3 6 Tip! If "MD Reading" appears on the MD information display, you cannot perform Synchro recording. 4 5 6 CD Select digital or analog recording. See "Selecting digital or analog recording from CD to MD" on page 37. Press REC to set the FR-N3X in recording standby mode. Adjusting the recording level. See the next page. Turning Level Sync on or off See "Numbering the songs - Level Sync" on page 39. Play the CD. Numbering the desired song(s) Press REC during recording of the desired song. If you do not hold down REC long enough (about four seconds or less), the song may not be numbered. Dubbing another CD Press CD to stop playback, and replace the CD with another one. The MD recorder enters recording standby mode. When the end of the MD is reached, the recording automatically stops. Tip! During recording, you can check the elapsed time and remaining time on the MD using DISPLAY. Selecting a song after pausing the CD The MD also enters recording stand-by mode. Use / on the remote controller or MULTI JOG on the main unit to select a song on the CD, then press CD / or the remote controller's . The MD resumes recording.
