The range is 15 to 21600 seconds. The default value for Age Time is 1200 seconds. 6. Use Response Time to enter the amount of time, in seconds that the device waits for an ARP response to an ARP request that it sends. The range for this field is 1 to 10 seconds. The default value is 1 second. 7. Use Retries to enter the maximum number of times an ARP request will be retried after an ARP response is not received. The number includes the initial ARP request. The range for this field is 0 to 10. The default value for Retries is 4. 8. Use Cache Size to specify the maximum number of entries allowed in the ARP table. This number includes all static and dynamic ARP entries.The range for this field is 256 to 1536. The default value for Cache Size is 1536. 9. When selected, the Dynamic Renew option allows the ARP component to automatically attempt to renew dynamic ARP entries when they age out. The default setting is Enable. 10. Use Remove from Table to remove certain entries from the ARP table. The choices listed specify the type of ARP entry to be deleted: • All Dynamic Entries • All Dynamic and Gateway Entries • Specific Dynamic/Gateway Entry.
