Viewing advisories The Advisories tab lists all available customer advisories and notifications. The following actions can be performed in the Advisories tab: • To limit or control the display, expand the Filter By: drop-down menus. Filter options include Product and Severity. Depending on the filter selected, the with value as drop-down box provides appropriate options. After selecting these limits, the table is automatically repopulated, using the selected filters. • To see details for an entry, click the provided link. The following information is displayed in the Advisories table: Title-Document title of the advisory. This is a clickable link to the actual advisory on the HP website. Severity-Importance of the advisory (Major, Moderate, or Minor) Product-HP MSA models affected by the advisory Description-Overview of the advisory issue Viewing logs The Logs menu lists all execution events performed by the tool. NOTE: To change the sorted order of the display, click a column heading. The following information is displayed in the log table: Time-Time the message was generated Severity-Importance of the advisory (Warning or Informational) Message-Brief description of the activity Viewing icon definitions The Legend menu opens a window, displaying information about all icons used by the tool. Table 1 Array health status icons Icon Name Description OK Array is operating normally and is accessible. Critical Array has a critical problem that needs to be addressed immediately. Degraded One or more components have failed, but the array is still functioning. Unknown Management information about the array cannot be obtained. Table 2 Firmware upgrade recommendation icons Icon Name Description Recommended HP recommends updating to this firmware version at the earliest convenience. Critical HP recommends updating to this firmware version as soon as possible. Optional Up-to-date HP recommends updating to this firmware version if the system is affected by one of the documented fixes or if there is a preference to use any of the included enhancements. Firmware installed on the array is the same as the latest version available. No action is needed. Viewing advisories 19

Advisories
