5. Be sure that the scalar board has a thermal pad installed on the bottom. Graphics board To remove the graphics board, use these procedures. Before replacing the graphics board, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 17). 2. Remove the rear cover (see Rear cover on page 18). To remove the graphics board: 1. Remove the four Torx screws (1) that secure the board to the computer. 2. Pull the board away from the system board to disconnect it (2). Graphics board 25
