Setting Options Password Encryption Format the Optional storage unit (available only when optional SSD unit is installed) Audit Log Secure (Quick) Secure (Sanitizing) Disable the Optional storage unit (available only when optional SSD unit is installed) Update Description Encrypts the administrator password. The printer will restart to apply the setting. Caution: Do not turn the power off while the printer is restarting or you may damage your data and lose any printer settings you have selected. You will need to set the password again. Select Encryption Key Backup to back up the encryption key. Select On to create an audit report Deletes all information from the optional SSD unit Secure (Quick): Overwrites the entire hard disk with a random character pattern. However, it is possible that data could be recovered using a dedicated data recovery tool. Secure (Sanitizing): Overwrites data on the hard disk with random 00/FF data, and then checks it using an algorithm based on the U.S Department of Defense standard (DoD5220-22m).
