16 10. BACKUP CIRCUIT MODULES The MX1644 has been careful ly designed to employ only eight distinct circuit modules. This modular construction simpl ifies not only the manufacturing of the mixer but also its servicing. If a problem occurs, in many cases i t wi l l be possible to determine which module has fai led and then that module can be returned to CARVIN for repair. This spares the expense and inconvenience of returning the complete mixer. If the returned module is an input channel or an output channel then you can continue to operate the mixer whi le the problem module is being repaired. Fai lure of either the system master module or the effects master module wi l l make the mixer inoperable. For appl ications where mixer down time would cause significant loss of income we suggest that spare modules be purchased and kept avai lable in the event of fai lure. The most important module to back up is the System Master. The next most important module to back up is the Effects Master fol lowed by the Power Supply, then Output Channel , Input Channel , Master Connect, and Input Connect modules in that order of priori ty. The
MX1644
has
been
