If the engine speed does not decrease to less than the clutch engagement speed, stop the engine by turning the main switch to the off position and consult a Yamaha dealer. Checking the air filter
Check that there is no snow under the air filter
element frame after each ride. In addition,
snow may need to be cleaned during a ride
depending on the riding conditions.
1.
Place the snowmobile on a level surface
and apply the parking brake.
2.
Remove the shroud, the left and right
side covers, and the top cover. (See page
49 for removal procedures.)
3.
Remove the headlight unit bolt on each
side of the snowmobile, and then unhook
the headlight unit. (See page 52.)
4.
Remove the air filter case cover by un-
hooking the fasteners.
5.
Lift up the air filter element frame and
check the air filter element. If there is any
snow on the air filter element, remove the
element, brush off the snow, and then in-
stall the air filter element.
