Periodic maintenance and adjustment ECS00830 NOTICE Never run the engine with the V-belt removed. Clutch components can be damaged. The V-belt should be checked before each ride. To check the V-belt 1. Open the shroud and remove the drive guard. 2. Check the V-belt for wear and damage. Replace if necessary. Recommended antifreeze: High-quality ethylene glycol antifreeze containing corrosion inhibitors Antifreeze and water mixing ratio: 3:2 Total amount: 4.70 L (4.97 US qt, 4.14 Imp.qt) 2. Start the engine and add coolant until the coolant level stabilizes, and then stop the engine. Fill the coolant reservoir with coolant until it reaches the "FULL" mark. Never run the engine with the drive guard removed. Make sure that the drive guard is tightened securely before operating the snowmobile to protect against severe injury or death from a broken V-belt or other part should it come off the snowmobile while it is in operation. WARNING When installing a new V-belt, make sure that it is positioned properly. Otherwise, the V-belt clutch engagement speed will be changed and the snowmobile may move unexpectedly when the engine is started, which could cause an accident. 49
