Operation G G G G Keep the right hand on the right handlebar grip for steering, and grip the strap with the left hand to shift weight uphill for balance during traverse riding. Ride cautiously while using the strap. Do not accelerate or decelerate abruptly while holding onto the strap. Do not use the strap to lift the snowmobile. Do not use the strap as a mounting point for cargo or accessories. 1. While the engine is idling, select the desired operating position ("D", "R", or "L") by pulling the shift lever out, turning it to the position, and then releasing it. NOTICE: Do not shift from forward to reverse or from reverse to forward while the snowmobile is moving, as the drive train could be damaged. Release the parking brake by moving the parking brake lever to the right. WARNING G G G G G Make sure that the throttle lever is fully released and the snowmobile is at a full stop before shifting. Be sure to turn the shift lever to "D", "R" or "L" until it stops completely and only while the engine is idling. Do not exceed 80 km/h (50 mi/h) when the shift lever is set to the "L" position. Make sure that the area behind the snowmobile is clear before reversing. Watch behind. Reduce speed and avoid sharp turning when operating the snowmobile in reverse. 3. 4.
