Spring preload adjusting ring G To increase the spring preload and thereby harden the suspension, turn the adjusting ring in direction (a). To decrease the spring preload and thereby soften the suspension, turn the adjusting ring in direction (b). Spring preload setting: Minimum (soft): 1 Standard: 1 Maximum (hard): 5 Rear shock absorber G Be sure to make this adjustment when there is no load (rider or cargo) on the snowmobile. Make sure that the full rate adjusting bolt ends are set at the same position on each side. TIP Never allow the full rate adjusting bolt to move while loosening or tightening the nut. 1. Center shock absorber
To increase the spring preload and thereby
harden the suspension, turn the adjusting ring
in direction (a). To decrease the spring pre-
load and thereby soften the suspension, turn
the adjusting ring in direction (b).
Rear shock absorber
To increase the spring preload and thereby
harden the suspension, turn the adjusting ring
in direction (a). To decrease the spring pre-
load and thereby soften the suspension, turn
the adjusting ring in direction (b).

Be sure to make this adjustment when
there is no load (rider or cargo) on the
snowmobile.
Make sure that the full rate adjusting bolt
ends are set at the same position on
each side.
TIP
Never allow the full rate adjusting bolt to move
while loosening or tightening the nut.
1.
Loosen the nut 1/2 or 3/4 turn, while hold-
ing the adjusting bolt securely with a
wrench so it does not move.
2.
Turn the full rate adjusting bolt to the de-
sired position.
