PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT EAU21401 EAU21862 Valve clearance 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 The valve clearance changes with use, resulting in improper air-fuel mixture and/or engine noise. To prevent this from occurring, the valve clearance must be adjusted by a Yamaha dealer at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart. Tires To maximize the performance, durability, and safe operation of your scooter, note the following points regarding the specified tires. Tire air pressure The tire air pressure should be checked and, if necessary, adjusted before each ride. EWA10501 WARNING Operation of this vehicle with improper tire pressure may cause severe injury or death from loss of control. G The tire air pressure must be checked and adjusted on cold tires (i.e., when the temperature of the tires equals the ambient temperature). G The tire air pressure must be adjusted in accordance with the riding speed and with the total weight of rider, passenger, cargo, and accessories approved for this model. 7-23 Tire air pressure (measured on cold tires): 0-90 kg (0-198 lb): Front: 200 kPa (2.00 kgf/cm2, 29 psi) Rear: 250 kPa (2.50 kgf/cm2, 36 psi) 90-196 kg (198-432 lb): Front: 200 kPa (2.00 kgf/cm2, 29 psi) Rear: 250 kPa (2.50 kgf/cm2, 36 psi) Maximum load*: 196 kg (432 lb) * Total weight of rider, passenger, cargo and accessories EWA10511 WARNING Never overload your vehicle.
