MAINTENANCE Engine Oil Oil Recommendations Always change the oil filter whenever changing oil. POLARIS recommends the use of POLARIS PS-4 Full Synthetic 5W50 4-cycle oil or a similar oil for this engine. Oil may need to be changed more frequently if POLARIS oil is not used. Always use 5W50 oil. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for ambient temperature operation. See page 160 for the part numbers of POLARIS products. NOTICE: Mixing brands or using a non-recommended oil may cause serious engine damage. Always use the recommended oil. Never substitute or mix oil brands. Oil Level (325) Access the oil dipstick and fill tube from the right side of the ATV. NOTE: A rising oil level between checks in cool weather driving can indicate contaminants such as gas or moisture collecting in the crankcase. If the oil level is over the full/safe mark, change the oil immediately. Oil Dipstick 1. Position the vehicle on a level surface. 2. Remove the dipstick. Wipe it dry with a clean cloth. 3. Reinstall the dipstick completely. 4. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. 5. Add the recommended fluid as needed. Maintain the oil level in the safe range between the FULL and ADD marks. Do not overfill. 6. Reinstall and tighten the dipstick. Safe Range Full Add 99

changed more frequently if POLARIS oil is not used. Always use 5W-
50 oil. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for ambient
temperature operation. See page 160 for the part numbers of POLARIS
products.

or mix oil brands.

Position the vehicle on a level
surface.
2.
Remove the dipstick. Wipe it dry
