Maintenance Battery Battery Removal 1. Remove the three bolts securing the battery mounting bracket to the vehicle. 2. Remove the mounting bracket and battery. 3. Disconnect the black (negative) battery cable first. Disconnect the red (positive) battery cable last. 4. Remove the battery terminal covers. 5. Loosen the two nuts securing the battery plate to the top of the battery. Remove the plate. 6. Lift the battery out of the mounting bracket. Mounting Bracket Bolts 145

Battery Removal
1.
Remove the three bolts securing the battery
mounting bracket to the vehicle.
2.
Remove the mounting bracket and battery.
3.
Disconnect the black (negative) battery cable
first. Disconnect the red (positive) battery
cable last.
4.
Remove the battery terminal covers.
5.
Loosen the two nuts securing the battery plate
to the top of the battery. Remove the plate.
6.
Lift the battery out of the mounting bracket.
