Maintenance Spark Arrester To remove accumulated carbon, clean the spark arrester at the intervals recommended in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 94. WARNING Failure to heed these warnings could result in serious injury or death. • Do not perform service on the spark arrester while the system is hot. Allow components to cool sufficiently before proceeding. • Wear eye protection and gloves. • Never run the engine in an enclosed area. Exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas. 118
