Maintenance Spark Arrester 1. Remove the three bolts and remove the arrester from the end of the muffler. 2. Use a non-synthetic brush to clean the arrester screen. A synthetic brush may melt if components are warm. If necessary, blow debris from the screen with compressed air. 3. Inspect the screen for wear and damage. Replace the arrester if damage is found. 4. Reinstall the arrester. 5. Torque the bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (9.5 Nm). Bolts Arrester Screen 119

3.

Replace the arrester if damage is found.
4.
Reinstall the arrester.
5.
Torque the bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (9.5 Nm).
