FEATURES AND CONTROLS Foot Brake Your Polaris ATV has a foot pedal (1) that activates the rear brakes. It's located in front of the right-hand footpeg (2) and is operated by the right foot. If the rear wheels slide while using the foot brake, reduce brake pedal pressure to brake the wheels without skidding. Check the brake fluid level frequently for the foot brake system. The reservoir is located behind the right side panel. Maintain the fluid level between the MIN and MAX marks. 1 2 WARNING Aggressively applying the foot brake when backing down a hill may cause rear tipover, which could result in serious injury or death. Use caution when applying the foot brake. Do not aggressively apply the foot brake when going forward. The rear wheels may skid and slide sideways, causing loss of control and serious injury or death. 54
