MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION Oil and Filter Change CAUTION If the ATV is left without oil in the system for extended periods, the oil pump may lose its prime, which could result in engine damage. Do not allow the vehicle to be without oil and filter overnight. Always replace the oil and filter within a few hours of draining the oil. Always change the oil at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 90. Always change the oil filter whenever changing oil. Perform a break-in oil change after one hour of operation, or after the first tank of fuel, whichever comes first. Change the oil more frequently on vehicles subjected to severe use. 105

CAUTION

itsprime,whichcouldresultinenginedamage. Donotallowthevehicletobewithout
oilandfilterovernight. Alwaysreplacetheoilandfilterwithinafewhoursofdraining
theoil.
