Notes: Do not give the master key to an unauthorized person. We recommend that you carry the flat key with you and keep it in a safe place (e.g. your wallet) so that it is always handy. Never leave the flat key in the vehicle. Obtaining replacement keys Your vehicle is equipped with a theft deterrent locking system requiring a special key manufacturing process. For security reasons, replacement keys can only be obtained from your authorized Mercedes-Benz Center. The valet key (1) works only in the driver's door lock and the steering lock. It unlocks both doors, trunk and fuel filler flap. The valet key (1) will not work in the trunk and glove box lock. The flat key (2) fits all locks on the vehicle.
