122 MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT Spark Plug Standard Plug Plug Gap Tightening Torque NGK ILZKAR7B11 1.0 a 1.1 mm (0.039 a 0.043 in.) 18 N·m (1.8 kgf·m, 13 ft·lb) Evaporative Emission Control System (California and South East Asia models only) This system routes fuel vapors from the fuel system into the running engine or stores the vapors in a canister when the engine is stopped. Although no adjustments are required, a thorough visual inspection must be made at the intervals specified by the Periodic Maintenance Chart. Inspection Check that the hoses are securely connected. Replace any kinked, deteriorated, or damaged hoses. NOTE żFit the plug cap securely onto the spark plug, and pull the cap lightly to make sure that it is properly installed. • •
