CALLER ID/CALL WAITING NOTES: • If you do not answer an incoming call when the caller ID signal is generated, the caller ID memory retains the telephone number and name of the caller. You can easily call back this number later by simply pressing the CID button (see page 44). • If an error occurs in the data transmission between the base unit and handset, the LCD may not display the name and telephone number correctly. • When a private number or private name is received, the LCD displays the message "Private Num." or "Private Name" respectively. • When an unknown number or name is received, the LCD displays the message "Unknown Num." or "Unknown Name" respectively. • When invalid data is received, the LCD displays the message "Line Error". • When the Auto Talk feature is set to ON, pick up the handset from its cradle on the base unit to receive a call. When the handset is not placed in its cradle, press the (TALK) button or any button on the dialpad (0 to9, *!TONE, #) to receive a call. (See page 23) 41
