Preparation Charging the Battery with the Charger When the camera is shipped, the battery is not charged. Charge the battery before use. 1 Attach the battery to the charger. • After charging is completed, be sure to disconnect the charger from the electrical outlet. • The battery becomes warm after use/ charge or during charge. The camera also becomes warm during use. However, it is not a malfunction. • Use the dedicated charger and battery. • Charge the battery with the charger indoors. • Do not disassemble or modify the charger. 2 Connect the charger to the electrical outlet. • When the [CHARGE] indicator A lights in green, charging starts. • When the [CHARGE] indicator A turns off (in about 120 minutes), charging is completed. 3 Detach the battery. 13
