About recording/shooting Before recording A Getting Ready Changing modes: Slide the mode switch on the recorder to A (☞ P.33). 2 Select the recording format: Recording can be performed through the linear PCM format, as well as the MP3 formats (☞ P.67). Adjusting recording level and microphone sensitivity Proper adjustment of [Mic Sense] (☞ P.67) and [Rec Level] (☞P.35-36 and P.68) is important to ensure highquality recording. About the built-in stereo microphone: [Rec Level] can be adjusted by [Manual] or [Auto]. Adjusting the recording level using the [Manual] setting allows a more customized recording to meet the recording environment. Refer to P.35-36 and P.68 for more information on the [Manual] setting. Before recording A When recording with the built-in microphone: Point the built-in stereo microphone toward EN the sound source, with the LCD facing upward. 34 The extension of the microphone sensitivity can be adjusted by changing the [Mic Sense] setting to [High] or [Low] (☞ P.67).
